Hello Lincoln Families, We had a fantastic first week! It's such a pleasure getting to know everyone in our class. Thank you for the donated supplies to our classroom! They are appreciated and will be used in our classroom community all year. The first couple of weeks are filled with activities and lessons on getting to know each other and Bear Behavior protocols in the classroom, hallways, lunchroom, recess, and many others! The main focus is less on academics and more on safety procedures. However, we have been able to begin our math program! I encourage you to help your child to practice multiplication and division basic facts through 12. One way to practice is by using flashcards. I also encourage your child to try to read for at least 20 minutes a night. Everyone should have a book. Students who didn't have one from home checked out a book from our classroom library! Hello, Welcome to 4th grade! Seeing so many of you at the Ice Cream Social was wonderful! I am excited to start the new year by getting to know your child. Here are some essential things to know. Students and parents should check the blog every Sunday. It will be posted at 3:00pm Please make sure your child has headphones/earbuds. Students should bring in a water bottle and a healthy snack each day. Please plan to bring in a small item to share the week of school (favorite toy, souvenir, award, etc.) Also, please plan on bringing a good book to read from your home. IF YOU HAVE A SPECIAL PICTURE IN A FRAME PLEASE SEND IT IN! YOU WILL GET IT BACK AT THE END OF THE YEAR! I LIKE TO PUT THE PICTURES AROUND THE ROOM.
