  Report Cards:  Report cards will go home this week. Remember, any standard graded below a "3", your child will continue to get extra practice individually or in small groups through the next trimester. The expectation for a "3" is by the end of the year.  Here is the rubric that explains the learner behavior score on your child's report card.  If your child is participating in GOTR,  it was brought to our attention that the Girls on the Run race is the same day as our Lansing trip. Since we have to plan this trip a year in advance, there's no way to know about other events. However, we plan to leave Lincoln by 7:30 a.m., so if you plan to chaperone the trip, you should be able to leave Lansing with your daughter and have plenty of time to make it to the race.   Report Cards:  Report cards will go home the week of March 3rd. Remember, any standard graded below a "3", your child will continue to get extra practice individually or in small groups through the next trimester. The expectation for a "3" is by the end of the year. On Friday, February 28th, we have a half-day. Because our class clips have touched the floor and March Reading Month is approaching, we will celebrate with a "Read-In" and "Candy Salad!" Students can bring blankets, snacks, stuffed animals, and pajamas for the read-in. For the candy salad, students bring in a box or bag of their favorite candy, and we mix it all together in a big bowl and serve it in cups:) Some favorites might be nerd clusters, skittles, M&M's, and candies similar to those.   Thank you to everyone who donated food and party items! Everyone loved the food and opening all the cards, toys, and candy! We are all very appreciative of the kindness spread by all! Spring Conferences :  Spring conferences are held on an as-needed basis. I have emailed parents to notify them if we need a conference. If you didn't receive an email and would like a conference, please email me, and we can schedule a time. Conferences will be on Thursday, February 20th. All students are working on their student-led conference slides and goals and will present them. Students with no conference scheduled will present them at home to earn extra yards!   Spring Conferences :  Spring conferences are held on an as-needed basis. I have emailed parents to notify them if we need a conference. We will not need parent volunteers. We will have light snacks, and if students want to participate in trading "Valentine" cards, the list of students is below.
