Hello Lincoln Families,

This is a reminder that our fall party is on Thursday, October 31st. The committee will put together the craft and games. However, we would appreciate your help with the snack items! Here is a snack link to the list of items. If you have any questions, feel free to email me. Thanks!

On Friday, November 8th (1/2 day), we will watch the movie Winn Dixie and have a party similar to Opal's, the main character in this beautiful story. Here is a list of items that we need on this Sign-up sheet. Please have the items sent in by Wednesday of that week.

In the classroom this week:

Math unit 2 assessment went home. I met with students in small groups and discussed it as a whole class.  In math, we will continue to work on multiplying fractions. Here is the family link  Extending Operations in Fractions (unit 3)

Snacks in the Classroom

Please ensure that everyday snacks are quick and easy for your child to handle. For example please no yogurt, pudding, uncut fruit, or messy items for daily snacks. This avoids spilling on school devices, furniture, new carpet, etc. These snacks work better in the lunchroom. Thank you for your understanding. 

Birthdays

We love to celebrate birthdays! For students who would like to celebrate birthdays in our class please bring in non-food items, for example instead of cupcakes maybe pencils. Sometimes parents put together little gift bags. These are just ideas. There is no obligation to send anything!

  Music:  The 4th-grade performance is on Tuesday at 1:05. Students should wear red, white, and blue and bring their music and recorders to school. The night time performance will be on Wednesday at 5:45 at the high school. Students should plan to arrive at 5:35, wearing red, white, and blue and with their music and recorders.   M-STEP Math Test will begin on  Tuesday, April 22nd.  Please avoid absences on these two days. Makeups will be the following Wednesday. NWEA   Reading: 5/6 & 5/7, Math 5/13 & 5/14:   Please avoid absences on these two days. Thank you for your consideration.   End-of-Year Countdown: We have planned a small activity based on the alphabet each day to celebrate the final days of school . Students will enjoy a new letter-themed challenge each day , leading to a joyful celebration to wrap up the year on a high note! We need some items to help with the celebration.   Spring Conferences :  Spring conferences are held on an as-needed basis. I have emailed parents to notify them if we need a conference. If you didn't receive an email and would like a conference, please email me, and we can schedule a time. Conferences will be on Thursday, February 20th. All students are working on their student-led conference slides and goals and will present them. Students with no conference scheduled will present them at home to earn extra yards!  Kindness Party :  On Friday, February 14th, we will have our Kindness Party! The party will be from 2:00-3:00. We will not need parent volunteers. We will have light snacks, and if students want to participate in trading "Valentine" cards, the list of students is below.
