Hello September month lettering with flowers and clipart ...

Hello Lincoln Families,

Our class is working hard to prepare their learning goals for student-led conferences. If you have not signed up for a conference, please click the link below. I look forward to meeting with you and your child to create a successful plan as we begin this 4th-grade journey together!

Sign-Up Genius for Conferences

I encourage you to talk with your child about all they learn from our math and reading lessons! In math, we have been reviewing third-grade standards in adding and subtracting large numbers during our Bear Time. Next week, we will begin the fraction review. Once students master these standards, they work on their plans in IXL NWEA test prep. This is what I explained at the Back-to-School Night presentation. In addition, we are learning about comparing fractions. This is a 4th-grade standard. This standard practice will continue for several weeks. In reading, we have been taking a "deep dive" into poetry, and its characteristics, and writing summaries including themes. Wow! We will take the test today and Monday.

Have a great week!

Snacks in the Classroom

Please ensure that everyday snacks are quick and easy for your child to handle. For example please no yogurt, pudding, uncut fruit, or messy items for daily snacks. This avoids spilling on school devices, furniture, new carpet, etc. These snacks work better in the lunchroom. Thank you for your understanding.

Birthdays

We love to celebrate birthdays! For students who would like to celebrate birthdays in our class please bring in non-food items, for example instead of cupcakes maybe pencils. Sometimes parents put together little gift bags. These are just ideas. There is no obligation to send anything!
